Life Is But a Dream

BeyonceのHBOのドキュメンタリーフィルムを観た。（HBO３ヶ月ただなので）
彼女に限った事ではないと思うのだが、見えない部分のすざましい努力には感動してしまう。常にスポットライトを浴び続けなければ生き残れない世界で、一個人としての彼女の苦悩も聞けて興味深かった。
"Life is but a dream"と言う題名。シェークスピアか何かの"Life is but a walking shadow..."をもじったのだろうか。「人生は歩く影にすぎない。」というかなり悲観的なセリフ。「人生は夢のようなもの。」とでも言いたいのだろうか。これはシェークスピアとは対称的なポジティブな意味なのか、それとも世界的な歌姫である彼女も、やはり自分も踊らされている影にすぎない、とのむなしさを込めているのか。
それにしても"Life is but a walking shadow..."とはよく言ったものだ。何となく同感してしまう自分が悲しいねぇ。
