KFOG（ラジオ局）から返事が来た件

車でいつも聞いているKFOGのモーニングショーが変更になり、リスナーが怒って抗議行動を起こした件の続き。
自分もスポンサーにメールを書いたり、KFOG宛にも直接メールもした。そしたら今日こんな返事が来ていた。。。
TonyというDJをクビにして新しい人を連れてきたのは知っていたが、驚いたのはモーニングショーの変更について"We made a mistake"と認めた事。自分の失敗を棚に上げるのが普通のアメリカ社会で、素直に間違いを認める勇気を称える返事を出しておいた。
　　

Hi xxxx,

You are very important to us and we wanted to tell you as soon as possible about a change we have made in our "New" morning show on KFOG. Dennis Constantine, our KFOG Program Director, made the following announcement to KFOG listeners on the morning show on June 13, 2012).

"Since our inception almost 30 years ago, KFOG has always been about being experimental.
We've experimented musically by playing a mix of music that is off-center. We listen to a lot of music and look for interesting music that will inspire and delight listeners.
KFOG also has a long history of great morning shows. The people doing the shows had a vision and the knack for creating something that was not like anything else.
It was our intention to create a new morning show to carry KFOG forward. Something unique. We wanted to create a show that looks to the future, is grounded in the present, while honoring our past.
We wanted to promote from within the company, and found someone who was looking to make a change in his career and life. In our initial discussions, some great ideas were bandied about. It seemed promising.
However, it quickly became obvious that the show we created wasn't a good fit for KFOG. So, I am here to tell you that we made a mistake. KFOG is about taking risks, and on the downside....sometimes it doesn’t work out.
So, we're going to make amends and correct the problem before it goes any further. Fogheads expect a show that is intelligent and comforting. We will be that, and we will also have a fun time on the radio playing great music and talking about things that matter to you.
Greg Gory is here, and he'll be joined by Tim Jeffreys. Tim is a bay area icon who's been on the radio for years. He and Greg will wake you and put you in a good mood every morning. Melanie will be here to keep an ear to the ground for music and entertainment news. And, we'll invite some of your favorite guests to come and join them.
So, let me introduce you to much-loved Bay Area radio host Tim Jeffreys."
